Frank: If you have a quad-LNB then you can get them with more ports on; search the internet. Swapping the LNB shouldn't require realignment of the dish (providing that it isn't loose).

As far as the dish goes, Freesat and Sky are 100% the same, so Sky in one or more rooms and Freesat in one or more others will work.

You may be able to get a cheap Freesat box. A quick search of the internet suggests that they start at around £35.

This assumes that there isn't a clause in your Sky contract which forbids this, or perhaps voids a warranty. I'm not familiar with these things, so maybe best to check.

My TV has said no signal a few times this week and then came back on by its own accord. It has just this second gone off and has stayed off for the last 10 minutes with no sign of it coming back on. It just says no signal. I am off work with broken foot however i am a cctv systems engineer so do have pretty good technical understanding.

Is this due to works being done on winter hill? Or should i be checking closer to home?
Its just freeview.

thanks.

Having reception/tuning problems 1st April and today 6th April. Looking at the TV tuning the signal goes from strong to 'no signal' intermittently. Can't tune the TV - this is either interference or transmission testing/engineering. What is going on - this bass to be down to the transmission! Not good enough to be disrupted in this way.

It's pointless keep retuning before 6am, wait til after then when the tv transmitter work is done

You have known about it long enough with the caption onscreen, put up with it or STFU

No one likes these retunes much and i'm not happy either.

Pissedoffcustomer@tv, you've been advised this was happening for the last two weeks every time you switch your TV on. The effected channels went out at midnight (on the dot), and came back at 2am - at least for me in north Manchester because I've just retuned them....which, I might add, took a forty year old technophobe like me 5 minutes to do on two TVs.

If two hours of missing a few channels has got you this wound up maybe you should miss abut more and get out a bit !-)).
