paul: Ch42 (ITV3 etc) is operating on very low power (100wats) until the 27th of this month and so reception will be poor when compared to the other muxes operating on 4Kw. Unfortunately there isn't really anything that you can do but wait until that date when the situation will be rectified.

There is a communal aerial for both digital and satellite reception. The aerial is located well above the roofline and the dish is a 2 metre one and is wall mounted. After the switchover, I carried out the retuning on two Panasonic and one Sony dvd recorders and an LG HD tv all equipped with freeview. The result was that I got everything apart from BVD channels 41 and 44.Can anyone suggest a solution or should I wait for the next switch later this month.HELP!!!

I and others I know use the Heathfield transmitter, and we were confused why we could pick up nearly every channel (even though we only have a cheap in house Ariel) except ITV3 (which we like), this page explains why, and provides good news that we should have it by the end of the month! So thank you all for the information!

It is a little odd that ITV3 is stuck with ITV2+1 and a bunch of adult channels.

Chris: ITV3 used to be on PSB2, but changed places with Channel Five so that C5 would be transmitted from all masts. I think that after the SDN mux was added, as promised, to the Ferryside relay it was realised just how much it would cost to repeat the exercise at all the relays in order to give the required coverage of C5. ITV4 was also displaced from PSB2 to make room for ITV1+1.

I still can't get freeview hd reception. Is this the fault of my aerial?

Dupree: Its quite impossible for anyone to be able to offer assistance when you havent mentioned your location (post code or one from nearby) nor whatever you are trying to receive Freeview HD on, as either its not being transmitted as yet (dependant on location) or its your receiving device that is not capable of picking it up by only having a DVB-T tuner fitted and not a DVB-T2 type which is necessary for HD reception.
