Until last week, I received , then problems
I changed didiboxes, but " received"
Put old box back - "no signal received"
My neighbour connected up one of my boxes - perfect. She has just had a new aeriel installed.
My aeriel is in , pointing generally south
Do I need to reposition my aeriel?

Hi, I put a comment on here a few days ago and for some reason it hasn't gone through.
I just want to know why isn't included in the list of transmitters for my post code.
In -on-Sea I can easily receive every Mux from CP apart from 2 and A - I gather because of low , but recently I am now picking up Bluebill hill aswell.
This being I cannot get any freeview whatsoever from the predicted (Useless) . Also why am I unable to receive anything from when DigitalUK tells me I should get 1 to 5 ??

Have mounted pointed pointed towards .
There are 2 TVs in house, both receiving all freeview fine
Also have a Sagemcom recorder box for HD channels. Last night (10pm ish and this morning 7am ish) Sagemcom not picking up any channels properly (some not at all, some pixelated) but both TVs fine. This has happened before in the eveinings generally aftyer 9pm. Aerial goes to Sagemcom box before TV so know that input to Sagemcom is at least as good as to TVs. Can the sensitivity of the Sagemcom and TV tuners vary so much?

Yes, there can be a great difference in the sensitivity of different receivers.

Hi ,
Thanks for the very swift response.
Yes - I am in a fringe area for the CP - however on my Sony and Philips TV tuners is fine pretty much all the time (even in the evenings when atmospheric pressure is high). Thinking of swapping the Sagemcom box for the (more expensive) Humax. Is there any way of checking the sensitivity of the tuner (eg technical data) without physically connecting it?

Ian: You can look at the technical specifications, but experience shows that it is often the cheaper boxes that work better in low conditions.

Please post a question, answer or commentIf you have Freeview reception problems before posting a question your must first do this Freeview reset procedure then see: Freeview reception has changed, Single frequency interference, and Freeview intermittent interference.

If you have no satellite signal, see Sky Digibox says 'No Signal' or 'Technical fault'

If you have other problems, please provide a full (not partial) postcode (or preferably enter it in box at the top right) and indicate where if aerial is on the roof, in the loft or elsewhere.
