Sam: Sorry, the "area text" was taken from the ITV blurb I linked to.

UTV is a single region when it comes to the BBC, UTV news and advertising and Channel 4 ad sales, and part of the "network" bit for FIVE.

This was just to explain the complications for ITV1+1 compared with, say, Dave Ja Vu.

I'm expecting there to be UTV+1 and STV+1 from next week, given all the time that has been spent getting this right.

I would expect their complaints departments would be very busy next week otherwise.

But, I've not had an official confirmation.

Mike: Of all the transmitters around you, only The Wrekin will provide a Freeview service at the moment. If you want that, then your rooftop aerial will need to point at that transmitter.

However, your existing aerial will probably need to be replaced with a wideband one.

heggartie: Have you got a Freeview+HD device, or just a Freeview+ one?

louise: Can you have a look at Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - but you probably have some moisture getting into your cables.

lee johnston: The service started on 24th September 2010. You will need a Freeview HD box (or set), of course.

louise: It is more likely to be the case if you are in a not-switched region.
