It is surely wrong for the BBC who are still regarded as the principal UK broadcaster to shut down all national and regional AM transmitters whilst there are still AM only receivers operating within the UK.

Why has Together TV decided and have stopped freeview transmissions for all but 3 hours per day in the morning and require you to tune into the internet or a smart TV for the rest of the time?

If AM service is to be discontinued by most providers how does one explain that Radio Caroline has an AM service they claim is still widely listened to in the South East of England and the near continent?

What on earth was the point of Freeview withdrawing Together TV whilst for those without Smart TV it is the only way one can directly watch the channel through their receivers?

On the general question of FM services eventually being replaced by DAB or DAB+ only transmitters why has Ofcom apparently banned all new DAB+ stations from backing up their transmissions with local FM coverage?

I cannot understand why such little local news coverage and on location local reporting is permitted by Ofcom as their local coverage does not seem to match their original remit and as the channel originally started up to the start of the pandemic.

I have long wandered how so many freeview TV stations can be sustained by advertising and how the share of advertising is divided amongst all the freeview operators.

I have often wandered how the system of sustaining all the free to air digital channels by advertising works and is there a single agency which divides all the advertising amongst all the channels?

Why do the media always assume when they state that certain news and information channels are available on freeview that everyone has a smart TV connection to the internet when this is needed to view many national and international channels?
