1. No more bills in the post and no more threatening letters and get rid of that office in Bristol that generates these letters will save monies on postage and enforcement officers and running costs

2. There are too many Radio stations catering for differing nationalities plus BBC Alba that most don't understand as they talk in Gaelic. THere are also Asian Radio Stations?
Just keep radios 1 to 6 (Omit five as this is only a talking station. Privatise the national stations like BBC Oxford etc.

3. Reduce the amount of TV stations under the BBC.

4. There is no need to have it over run by adverts but maybe they could make monies by having Such and such sponsors Eastenders (As long as it is not Payday Lenders and the Gambling fraternity that currently run Britain. These days you can't go to the toilet with out an advert for gambling coming on TV.

5. Do they need the BBC trust? what do they do?

I read the threatening letters they send through the post cost millions.

What is the wages bill for the enforcement officers?

Why not put £10 on all new TVs and other receiving equipment like lap tops etc

BBC plc, 2017. Radio 4, the last voice.

I can just hear them at the BBC giving the following speech.

Just a bit of satire :)

"We will fight them over the air" "We will track all non payers of the licence fees and they shall be forced to pay" "We shall fight the corridors of parliament as we fought to bring you the News in the second world war" "From the war of 1914 to 1918 we were born just after the dust of this great war settled and we became strong, A great force not to be reckoned with, and again we shall be strong into the next millennium" "We shall not be forced to change" "We shall not give in to the people" "The people will give in to our demands" The BBC is not just a name" The BBC is an institution based on principles, principles that have seen us through 9 decades of war, bureaucracy, protests and the growing menace of online petitions calling for the abolition of the licence fee. "Are we going to fight or are we going to be brought down to our knees by the very British Public we serve" "I as Director General of the BBC will not go down without a fight" "I am not one for begging on my knees" - This day my fellow directors we shall get out of our offices and we shall face the British Public and we shall fight them on the streets and we shall win" "The public accuse us of not giving them what they want? "We are not fortune tellers we deliver a service based on our own ideas" "That is why we are here 9 decades into the future" "We have given our public Only fools and horses to Doctor Who, we have given them Dad's army and just like those brave men of Dad's army we too shall fight" Are you with me or are you going down on your knees.?

Anyone come up with a way to bypass the sky card reader inside a sky box in order to receive channels for free? You used to be able to buy pirate cards? The reason I ask this is because there are too many channels being encrypted and nothing has ever been done about it by OFCOM

I once did an experiment with an old sky box, I removed the circuit board and with a sky card in I put it on an encrypted channel. I bypassed pin 1 to 2 and 1 to 3 and 1 to 4 and so on, a few messages changed but it never worked in allowing a blocked channel to come through. OFCOM have never done anything about it. Sky TV are charging too much, pubs can't afford It, often they have to use Italian Sky. There are too many channels blocked by Sky TV. I know people who have had the likes of £60 per month taken out via direct debit and then go into the red and face banking charges, all this must be a cause of debt, add this to smart phones where it is easy to get into debt due to gambling plus Sky TV 24 hour Gambling channels and pornography channels, then people having to take out loans via payday loan companies getting charged thousands of per cent. Basically the UK Government have sat back and allowed the UK to become a mess just like the USA

Full technical details of Freeview

I forget where is the listings for older Freeview TVs and Boxes that do not work.

I have a Toshiba 19W330DB from around 2007 and wondered if there is an issues with these being a bit older. It needs a power supply and it would not be worth buying one if it was not compatible

There is a strange fault that has developed on a HD Box? If the back-up button is pressed more than once it goes into the EPG? Is this a fault or is it something that SKY itself has done. Also can it be revered or disabled in anyway as it is a nuisance

Michael: I read that people were waiting for a fix, but nothing has been issued. It is not a very good function as the Back up Button is supposed to bring you out of menus not put other menus on the screen. The TV Guide Button is assigned to this? Another thing that annoys me is some channels say "This is the wrong card for this box" It is a white card with an IC mounted to it, I don't know of any other card? I don't see anything in the menus to deal with this message? I have tried 3 white cards all with the same design, and it is the same messages every time. What other cards are there?
