From Wikipedia: The channel had been available from launch on UPC Ireland, but was pulled on 22 March 2006. The channel had already been and remains available to Irish viewers on free-to-air satellite for some time, however it has not been listed in the Sky electronic programme guide since its removal on 25 January 2006. ITV3 took its channel number and bandwidth meaning all platforms could be launched simultaneously. - en.wikipedia.org en.wikipedia.org link icon read more about ITV3 on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

B. Bartlett: Turn your aerial to vertical (or have it turned). It will still point in the same direction and shouldn't need replacing (unless it's defective in some way).

You are receiving from Rowridge, I presume. Rowridge broadcasts horizontally and vertically. The latter polarisation was introduced in April and the former is more for backward-compatibility with existing installed aerials.

Rowridge's Commercial (COM) channels, which carry ITV3, Pick TV, Yesterday, Dave, Film4 and others aren't as strong horizontally. This is why switching to vertical polarisation should be expected to cure your problem.

Following the recently advised need to retune, ITV 3 has now disappeared from my set (sighnal breaks up all the time - sometimes no signal at all) which (I think) appears to tune from Bilsdale on its own aerial.

My other household sets tune from Emley Moor on which ITV3 is fine.

I need to have the Bilsdale set up in my house as well as Emley Moor so no good suggesting pointing to Emley Moor instead.

Micahel Cole: If reception of ITV3 was fine before the retune it rather suggests that you might now have the SDN mux stored from a different transmitter to the one your aerial is pointing to. Looking at the predicted reception it could be that Belmont (C30) has been selected instead of Bilsdale (C43) as the signal arrives at an angle of about 40degrees from behind the aerial. The TVs receiving from Emley Moor are less likely to have a Belmont signal present as Belmont is at 90 degrees to Emley at your location. It might be necessary to do a manual tune on each of the Bilsdale frequencies to store the correct set of channels on the TV intended to receive Bilsdale.

Pam: If your TV has a manual tuning function, then go to it and select/scan UHF channel 51.

I really enjoy ITV3 and have lost it from last weekend. How do I get it back without spending a small fortune on new aerials etc. I live in the York area.
