From Wikipedia: The channel had been available from launch on UPC Ireland, but was pulled on 22 March 2006. The channel had already been and remains available to Irish viewers on free-to-air satellite for some time, however it has not been listed in the Sky electronic programme guide since its removal on 25 January 2006. ITV3 took its channel number and bandwidth meaning all platforms could be launched simultaneously. - en.wikipedia.org en.wikipedia.org link icon read more about ITV3 on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Bobbie Cox: When you said that you haven't been able to view ITV3 for the past month the person who enquired (Dave Linsay) if there was anything up in the 800 ranges only done so because any duplicate channels picked up from another transmitter are stored up there.

This creates a situation where its possible that a channel (e.g: ITV3) might disappear from EPG10 but still be found up in the 800 range, and if it is, then the Mux Channel its being received on can be found out via the signal strength menu then it manually tuned in after a fresh scan has taken place without the aerial being connected, this done to blank out anything stored.

It should be appreciated that you are indicated as having good signals from Mendip and Ridge Hill, ITV3 on the former being on Mux Ch48 whereas from Ridge Hill its Mux Ch21.

R.W.Witton: Please give your post code so we can get an idea what transmitter you might be using. What transmitter is your aerial pointing at (or what direction is it pointing in and what is your post code)?

ITV3 keeps disappearing on my Samsung Tv. Rescanning for channels brings it back but after a couple of weeks it goes again. What can I do?

Hi, the reception of ITV3 has deteriorated over the past 3 months. The picture now breaks up continuously - all other Freeview channels are fine. What is going on? Postcode E1W 2YG

Hi,
While I can still get the video and audio on Freeview Channel 10, nothing comes up on the EPG, regardless of how long I wait. All other channels appear to be OK. My postcode is AB22 8RX. What's the problem? This applies to two modern TV's on independent exterior aerials.
Thanks.
Jinklater

John Hutton: Although you report that problem is the same on both TV's which are working totally independent of each other, it depends on whether or not you had initially re-tuned them at the same time? as should a fault at the transmitter have been in evidence at that time then this would have affected both devices.

I would be inclined to try carrying out a factory re-set on one of the TV's followed by an auto-tune, as dependant upon the results you could then just repeat the process on the second set.

Another point that should be noted is, that you would appear to located right next door to the Balgownie relay, and although its only a low powered transmitter of only 8 watts, but because you are using outdoor aerials it could possibly be causing a problem in your TV's tuners, as they will sense its there at a high level. (by being so close!)
