My ITV and Ch 4 etc reception in Sutton Courtenay is "Poor" all of the time and often breaks up but for last few days when I switch TV on in morning it says new channels found. ITV then shows NO signal and I have to rescan and get normal poor ITV channel again. Today however, after rescanning no ITV, Ch 4 etc signal at all. Presumably something being done at transmitter yet again.....will be glad when signal strength increase anf I can actually watch ITV properly.

I ran through problem troubleshooter which indicated probably due to weather - high pressure. Rescanned TV again this morning and channels back again, albeit with usual poor signal and pixelation on ITV, Ch 5 etc. Reception on other freeview boxes we have also poorer than normal.
When power levels are eventually increased at switchover, will this solve my poor signal problems on ITV etc and reduce likelihood of weather related problems?
I hope so as watching ITV on analogure will no longer be an option!

Have just turned TV on again and no signal, no ITV1, Ch4 or Ch 5 etc after rescan. Worked ok at circa 8 o/c this morning so presumably weather causing this problem again. Very frustrating.

Mike, thanks for your feedback. I have just rescanned and TV is tuning to C68 with ITV1 & Ch5 etc now found but usual poor signal & fairly constant pixelation. Not using booster, and had new roof aerial fitted circa 2 years ago. Analogue channels very good. Just have to hope that things improve at switchover on C60. Fingers crossed.

Like Del the Freeview "service", particularly on ITV etc has been poor for a long, long time. Today, no freeview watchable on any channel, even BBC 1 which is usually fine. Hopefully just another "teething" problem before switchover and full power transmission that will, hopefully, lead to a completely watcheable freeview service.

Additional info following previous post. Having following the freeview reset procedure, no freeview channels at all detected, Analogue channels all have thick white band moving dowe the screen. Would assume that there must be some problem with transmitter/work going on as analogue was ok earlier today! Oh well, looks like the radio rather than TV for a while......

No change in freeview since my post at 2.00 and analogue also unwatchable. Just wondered if freeview transmission power reduced to even lower levels than recently. Until today BBC etc has always been ok with poor signal/pixelation on ITV etc? Digital TV ceratnly not "working mormally" for me today.

Thanks for feedback. Transmitter engineering notes appear to indicate TV digital working normally but analogue liable to interruption. Am I msiing something re freeview (digital?)?

Have been unable to watch freeview since last Thursday and was hoping that the problem related to switchover interference etc. Live in ox14 4ax and have roof aerial. Have been in to loft and no obvious problem with cables. Labgear distribution box is on as is power light to masthead amplifier. Sky is watcheable in all rooms via analogue but remaining analogue channels are poor with thick white band moving up the screen. When retuning today my old kitchen tv, using Phillips freeview box, found c71 freeview channels but signal strength was 5-15% with signal quality always being max of 30%. No picture or sound on any channel although program details are shown. Our toshiba tv with integrated freeview tuner does not find ant channels. Was wondering whether it was worth waiting until after next switchover date, 28 sept, before calling out aerial installer again? Views appreciated.

All my TV's run off same roof top aerial feed that but very different performance. My two TV's that have built in freeview tuners pick up all channels with good signal strength/quality (95-100% strength & quality) on all channels. My freeview boxes that feed old analogue TV's are same strength/quality as TV's with built in tuners with exception of Ch55 & Ch59. Yesterday for instance, 12 on Ch55, for instance has no signal? Sky News, 82 on Ch59, freezes periodically. Sonewhat confused by this discrepancy. Could there be a problem with my freeview boxes/will this improve when power is increased from 12.5kw on ArqA/B? My postcode is Ox14 4ax.
All channels, including Yesterday/Sky News etc were fine on all TV's/boxes before todats switchover....
