As far as I can tell most systems only have one lead but this has three. Why?

Dave can I connect to a freesat box and how is it done which of the three feed cables cables should be used?

We have just moved into a house with a satelitte dish which has three cable leads coming off it. These are routed into the house.
The plugs have been cut off the cable but they appear to be coaxial tye cable.
I have no idea what type of system this may be. If it is any help the dish is not very large.
I know that this is probably asking for the name of a book and giving only the colour but have you any idea what type of system it may be.
A long shot I know but any info would help
