Just re-tuned my Panasonic tv and all it is receiving is the new ch44 mux from Rouncefall or Sudbury, nothing else. My Humax receiver on the other hand is receiving all the channels although the one that should have Film 4 and Yesterday on it seems to have disapeared. I suppose that the tv is shutting down it's receiver because of the strong signals. I live south of Rouncefall and can see it from my bedroom window.

Hi, yes I have re-tuned the Humax and it is receiving channels from Sudbury. Yesterday both Tv and box were. They are on the same ariel, ie it loops through the box. I know it sounds odd but I can't think of an expanation. I have been watching digital signals from Sudbury for 10 years now so I know what channel are transmitted from there.

Hi, I live in south Essex and the signal on ch50 from Sudbury has dissapeared and ch68 is lower than it was before 6/7. I can receive a low signal on ch56. Ch54, ch49 and of cause ch44 are fine.

John Stone, Hawkwell, Hockley, SS5 4JN. Hi, a couple of things; Rouncefall is very strong around this area and me and a lot of other people are having problems with too much signal. We have been used to having to struggle with weak signals from Sudbury, Dover, Bluebell Hill and/or Crystal Palace. We have erected large aerial which we now don't need. My Father inlaw lives in Rochford SS4 , about 2 miles away and has always received signals from Bluebell Hill, he can now receive Rouncefall on the back of his aerial, full strength! I think I will try and swing my aerial round to Bluebell Hill and see what happens. The other thing that someone may be able to answer is why is ITV 1 + 1 and ITV 1 HD from Sudbury/Rouncefall transmitting Meridian TV?
Thanks.
John.

I swung my aerial round to Blubell Hill and found that the signals were too low, bearing in mind that I have taken off the mast head amp the mux signals varied from 10% to 24%. The quality of the signal on the higher ones were 100% but the lower ones were only 10%. I couldn't receive anything from London or Dover. I know people living less than 500m from me can, I think it depends which way the wind blows. I'm sure if I did fit the amp back in line I could watch Bluebell hill but I think I will wait until next year when London, Dover and Bluebell hill switch over.
Thanks.
John.

PS.
The signals from Sudbury/Rounefall on the back of the aerial were 64% for strength and 100% for quality.

Rouncefall signals have been fine but then I live about 2km from it. Just an observation; I have noticed new aerials and masthead amps being erected in the area (Hockley, Hawkwell and Rochford)and they are still being pointed towards Dover, Bluebell Hill and Crystal Palace. People must be paying out £100 plus for these instalations when all they need is a small aerial for Rouncefall/Sudbury. I have now fitted an indoor aerial to my tv which works fine.

Hi, have been waiting a long time for the power to go up on the 3 commercial mux's from Sudbury, when finally they did last Wednesday the signals were lower than I expected. UHF channel's 56 and 58 were only 30% signal strength but 100% quality and channel 60 was only 10% signal strength and 10% quality (no picture). When I checked yesterday all 3 were up to 55% signal strength and 100% quality. Was there a delay in turning the wick up. The other mux's I'm receiving from Rouncfall at 100%.

Over the last few weeks the Rouncefall transmitter has been off air for engineering work, when it goes off I thought I would be able to receive BBC, ITV etc from Sudbury were I receive everything else from from but there's nothing. My aerial is pointing to Sudbury and all channels are 60% strength and 100% quality.
Rouncefall is only 2km away and the signal strength is 100%. As Rouncefall and Sudbury transmit on the same frequency as I said I thought I would receive something from Sudbury. If that all makes sense? My post code is SS5 4JN, both Rouncefall and Sudbury are just east of north from me.

Hi, com 6 is now being transmitted from Rouncefall on UHF channel 37 which incudes Talking Pictures. Com 4 (UHF ch 29) and com 5 (UHF ch 31) will follow in the next few months. Rouncefall will no longer be a "light" transmitter. Sudbury has also moved com 6 to UHF ch 37.
Looking at a few digital tv websites and there doesn't seem any mention of the new line up.
