Hi guys,

I'm moving to a new property in a couple of weeks and I have arranged for sky to be installed. I am visiting the property tomorrow.
I'm quite sure there is a satellite dish on the property. What signs should I look for if the dish is re-useable?
I would prefer not to change the dish as it means I will need access to 2 neighbors gardens. As I'm new to the street...I'm not sure they will allow it. Im on a 1st floor apartment with the below gardens not being communal.
I'm hoping that the dish can be re-used for sky+ HD.

Thanks

Thanks for the really useful info guys!

I went and had a look today and the dish is ancient! and looks to me that its a single feed. It simply had one socked point that had "sat" written about it.

Good news is that neighbours are fine for the garden to be used! One thing I wanted to ask was in between the dish and the living room, there is a bedroom. Is the engineer likely to need access to a loft? As I'm in a block of flats, I'm not sure I can get access to the loft.

Really appreciate your advice jb38
