Your old equipment only had the cabability of receiving Freeview pictures using 2kb packets of digital information.
ll transmissions will now use 8kb packets of information.
All muxes will now also use 64QAM except for the HD Multiplex which will use the 256QAM format

Do you know why my Youview STB does not tune in any of the top-up TV channels or the BT Sports [BT1, BT2,& ESPN etc]channels. All my TV's tune all the channels in.
All my signals are very good and I can see the Emley Moor TV T/x from my house.

One suggestion for getting a better quality signal is check the polarity of the LNB. Don't forget the signals from Astra do not come at you true vertical & horizontal.
You may have it slightly alligned wrong.
You may have to upgrade the dish to next size
