jb38,on the thought that the tv could be the problem,i have switched tvs from room to room,the tv that was working on single LNB downstairs no longer works when connected to quad LNB .The tv that was not working on quad upstairs now works on single LNB?????

jb38,Hi,Have checked everything again,tv is fine,the only conclusion i can come to is the quad port maybe??Everything seems to work until i try to connect to this.The sky plus box only produced a speckled screen,no menus when connected As you say sods law it may be a ladder job,your help would be appreciated.Having said all this the quad works fine downstairs with sky plus box.I have no clue really,i am guessing,that dish is aligned correctly???

jb38,Thanks for info.,before i do anything silly.I know sky plus connectors work. As i am trying to connect to this dish ,and i know tv and sky box i am trying to add work together(not in location i want)would it be best if i took tv and sky box and used the cables i know work and tested with these..Sorry to be a nuisance,i am sooo confused,you make it sound so simple ,Thanks again.

jb38, Have tested tv and sky box on quad port used downstairs it works fine.I have another cable connected to quad (by sky man)I need to connect this to working tv and sky box.I cannot get BBC1 on this,only as you explained the usual menus appear.I now have bulging muscles from moving tv,and feel so near yet so far from solving the problem. I guess there must now be a solution,can you please enlighten me,Many thanks.

jb38,Hi,tv sky combination works on all ports except the one i am trying to connect to.All i get is searching for listings,no signal.

jb38,HI,There was no service menu when i tested sky+ box upstairs,only speckles,i even remembered to use correct remote!Guessing now it is possibly tv,maybe ok for playroom and dvds if not the skip?
