I may be being stupid, but I believe you're not going actually get HD channels from your diagrams, as you're not only using a scart lead (rather than a HDMI), plus your TV doesn't exactly look HD ready- no offence!
I'm just confused as to why you would give advice that isn't going to provide actual HD channels?
