Many thanks for the assistance, it says on the unit that its an antiference xtraset 4, 4 outlet VHF/UHF amplifier for tv & fm, I've not checked the fuse and tried what I believe to be the main lead in every hole, we live in the hp15 area and the arial in housed inside ?

If only it was that easy !! Many thanks for trying but we appear to have drawn a blank. Will have to get pros out, went just after switchover but presume that's not anything as I did retune and it was fine

Sorry, probably a bit of a misunderstanding, I bought the female and tested all wires and still no signal.

Up until recently we had reception in all of our bedrooms even though one was occasionally crackly. All of a sudden we don't get any channels. I have tried re-tuning the TV's which all have built in freeview and still nothing. Don't really fancy a huge bill from local company so any advice would be appreciated.
