I take it that after the big channel change in 2019 that all the tx channels will be HD to carry all the programmes we have now on the 9 tx channels we have.

I live to the south of Mendip, until last Friday the local mux on CH 51 was non existant but now there is 100% signal and 100% quality. Has the mux on CH 51 been put on the main aerial?

Something has happened, as from zero % age to 100%. This shows on the signal meters on my Panasonic blu-ray recorder and Humax HD hard drive box. I used to live to the north of Mendip but now living south as I said until last Friday the signal was nil!

MikeP nope nothing wrong with my aerial system, brand new just installed by me. I have installed 1000s of aerial systems with no problems, from the North of Scotland where there was hardley any signal to places you could get perfect reception on a two inch nail!

This afternoon 5/4 ch 49 was still transmitting MUX A, have they realised that many people with old C/D aerials can't get ch 32?

I think the organisers of this re-ture have shot themselves in the foot, not warning people that an aerial upgrade would be most probable. In the analogue days when Channel 5 was on Ch 37 you would get just about a watchable picture using a C/D group aerial. But using a W/B or group A aerial gave you perfect pictures. Living in the Mendip area I haven't seen anything in the local papers or on Points West about re-tuning or needing new aerials.
