Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Girvan (South Ayrshire, Scotland) mast?
GIRVAN transmitter - DAB: Slightly reduced power due to a fault from 11 May 09:11 until 11 May 09:18. . 
UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

DAB TRANSMITTER MAP IN SOUTH AYRSHIRE
Brian, the planned Ballantrae relay in South Ayrshire. Is it to be a Now-Digital-Ayr
extension or is it for BBC National DAB?
I realise that the Girvan relay now has BBC National DAB with Now-Digital-Ayr
coming shortly as a 'step 1' extension. The plan for a local multiplex
extension for Ballantrae was not included! (unless I am reading an old version
of the OFCOM document.)

Willie Bone: You are correct Ballentrae is not on the BBC list - http://downloads.bbc.co.u….pdf - so it has come from the list of planned "local radio" relays.It is listed (in "case 4") for the Glasgow and South West Scotland 11C Block http://stakeholders.ofcom….pdf

Hello Brian,
Now Digital Ayr transmission of local DAB radio in Ayrshire was recently extended in South Ayrshire with a relay transmitter launch in Girvan. According to the 'step1' expansion plan for local DAB, the relay has 2kW of power!
The attached feature includes a revised coverage map for Now Digital Ayr..
