I have a new freeview sony HD box and i find that i am unable to receive Channel 4 HD.
But when the receiver is tuened in for the first time the channel is viewable, then after a day the channel is gone.
Why am I unable to view channel 4 HD

Hi for the last 3-4 weeks I've lost all my bbc radio stations on the freeview tv I have in my kitchen. The same happened temporarily on my main TV, and bedroom but a retune sorted that. I've retuned this unit numerous times, and each time it gets to channel 61 it shows them all being picked up, but when the retune finishes they are not there.
Any ideas it has worked fine up until now?

For the past week the audio on freeview has dropped considerably, I am served by wenvoe and i am only 2 miles away from the mast... Is there a reason for this? I am using BT Vision, my tv is 6 months old and the aerial is 3 years old.

hello, I am having problems receiving COM6 channels. I live in CF15 7PL, the channels did appear for a few days/week when the Wenvoe transmitter boosted it's power to 50kWatts for Com6, back in May I believe. But now the channels have dropped back out, any ideas.

Paul: The Digital UK postcode checker predicts (reasonably) good reception on all six muxes from Wenvoe at your location. Check that your cables and connectors are all in good order, also check for single frequency interference, that is if any VCR or Sky box has the RF modulator set around C49. It is possible that trees in leaf growing in the signal path are obstructing the signal at this time of the year. Using a good quality group B receiving aerial will give more gain than a similar size of wideband aerial on the Wenvoe frequencies.

Thanks for the reply KMJ,Derby will look into it. Just strange that it worked for a week or so and then dropped out. I don't have a VCR close to my Philips Freeview box only a DVD player which I took out of the equation whilst trying to fix the fault.. and use a wideband aerial which we got when the transmitter switched over... could I be getting interference from the Taffs Well relay transmitter? But that doesn't transmit the COM6 range. Could well be that it's summer and the trees are playing a part...as we in a valley over a hill from Wenvoe.. will heck with some neighbours who are also trying to pick-up Wenvoe.
