FOR THE LAST TWO OR THREE DAYS WE HAVE HAD VERY BAD OF ALL bbc FROM ON . NORMALLY IT IS VERY GOOD. THE BBC SAYS EVERYTHING IS FINE.

WE ARE IN .

INDEPENEDENT CHANNELS ARE PERFECT.

Have Aeriel on and until changeover had good .Have 2 TVs using same input but with a box. One TV has box.
Have retuned as directed. Have ensured that have latest software downloaded on TV.
Retuned since then on a number of occasions. Sometimes they show 10 (ITV3) but when trying to view it says or displays blue screen.Pick TV (Channel 11)has disappeared for ever. There may be others missing but not ones we ever use.
Any ideas.

Peter: If you are using , then switch your from horizontal to vertical. The Commercial are lower horizontally.

Peter: Is the accessible and can you try either reducing the level of amplification? Or try bypassing it so that the feeds only one aerial socket as a ?

I suggest these as possible lines of investigation prior to adjusting your aerial.

Hi. I have to get a new as mine keeled over at the weekend. 40 year old one worked fine and have been offered a 32 element or a logrithmic periodic antenna (allegedly a 20 element equivalent) much cheaper. Don't know anything about these, can you please? Any disadvantages? Thanks Phil

phil selvidge: Without knowledge of your exact location its impossible to check on the levels expected at wherever you might be located, however in over 90% of occasions a log is usually suffice for in most places with myself being a particular fan of these type of aerials, as through experience I can say that if they do not receive a satisfactory signal then there is very little else will either.

By the way an aerial known as a Log 40 is a particularly popular aerial or even a DM Log.

hi jb30 Thanks for the comment. I'm at LE33DW and had an email conversation with on this location (prior to ) as it's in a bit of a valley which isn't immediately apparent. Bit annoyed that the gales (???) over the weekend took it out. Or it may have been the fat pigeons.

TV that will be disrupted: services - n/a Digital services - PSB2 will be subject to periods of shutdown.
