Jim: ERP means "effective radiated power". This takes into accout the gain of the transmitting antenna, as opposed to just the power of the transmitter itself.

Peter: Re. Truskmore VHF. On Wednesday 24th October all analogue transmitters, including VHF will be shut down.

Hey,
I have been recieving Saorview here in Fintona County Tyrone, since October 2011. I have never had any recpetion troubles until Wednesday 20th June. My signal on saorview has completly gone, and my annalogue channel TV3 and all are still there as normal. I contactd RTE and they say that Truskmore Transmitter in Sligo was undergoing essential maintance work that would be finished on Friday 22nd. But still no signal. Is anyone else having trouble that is serviced by Truskmore County Sligo??

Think 10am Jim there is going to be a live broadcast on RTE,My Aerial is pointing to Moville quality only 70% compared to 100% for Freeview, Picture is breaking up and Moville would need further boosted To Max Power by RTE tomorrow if you are having any problems get in contact with RTE and your local TD i suggest

Mark: See C30 (546.0MHz) before switchover | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice

Are these the four HD channels on C30?

You must be receiving from Caldbeck!

Looking at your location, can you not receive from Limavady? You may be able to receive from both using the same aerial as they look to be roughly on the same bearing.

Mark: Having looked at the Limavady coverage map which also shows Moville, it is clear that there is maybe 10 or 20 degrees difference and that Carndonagh might not be served so well by Limavady.
