I live in Hebden Bridge and receive tv from the local relay station. We are only scheduled to receive about 16 of the freeview tv channels. When will we be able to receive the same as those who have tv from Emley Moor? Also, we cannot receive DAB radio. When will it be possible to obtain those radio stations. Finally, we don't have much of a signal to make listening to Radio Leeds worthwhile. When will this improve?

Clive: Please see Will there ever be more services on the Freeview Light transmitters? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

The DAB networks are being improved all the time, but I can't be more specific without your full postcode. It is typical in areas such as your to use a rooftop DAB aerial.

Hebden Bridge relay transmitter, still offline 5hrs after bbc info syas went offline.
All the online info I have been able to find is only about my aerial, my digibox, my TV - nothing about Tx outage.
Still mapview says no problem, also https://ukfree.tv/txli…php, the site for 'All transmitters with faults and engineering' says no problem, while still BBC says offline since 08:35 today, which is indeed the truth.
We are paying, both for the programmes and the equipment - do we not deserve at least a clue about what is wrong with the service, and prospects about when back on line?

goshawk: You could try contacting the BBC directly using the information at ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice . You should consider the BBC's website the authoritative source: this website just scrapes that BBC website for information.

Unfortunately we never get an indication of what the problem is, unless it was planned engineering work.

Digital UK's website lists planned engineering works at
Digital UK - Planned Engineering Works
. This website scrapes that page as well. It looks like many of the transmitters are being listed twice, which might be confusing the code that scrapes the page.

Hebden Bridge gets its signal off-air directly from Emley Moor. No problems are reported at Emley Moor, Luddenden or Cornholme, suggesting that the problem is isolated to Hebden Bridge (it's not weak signal from Emley Moor). To me, that would suggest a power cut at the transmitter itself, or in the vicinity (since both SD and HD services are listed as off air).

Hebden Bridge

Mike Dimmick - thanks for yr response.
The good news, which I was about to post, is that about 20mins ago TV flickered back into life! I'd left it on, set to BBC1, took a few seconds for picture to settle, but after that all my usual channels available. Phew!
The BBC site: www.ukfree.tv/bbc/gotobbceng.php still says 'offline since 08:35' - perhaps the engineers are sitting there with crossed fingers, too nervous to tempt fate by declaring AOK too soon.
The BBC link you kindly listed above leads you to a reporting page which assumes, as do all the other sites I found, ONLY that the problem is my reception, not anything to do with transmitter/transmission.
They make you jump through many - page fulls - of yes/no questions offered only one at a time, before at last you get to a text box to enter comments/symptoms.
They then warn that you are unlikely to get a response!
I guess they have remote monitoring for the 50 or so satellites fed by Emley Moor, so have a fair idea of the problem the moment it arises. They will have some idea of when a crew can arrive on site, and even some idea of how long to correct, all within minutes of the fault arising.
Could we not be in on a bit of this info? ukfree is more help than all the other services put together - keep up the good work!
