Andy.Eastbourne,BN22 7EN.I would look up either single frequency interference or the inversion effect as likely culprits.

Thanks Mark

Will do some research on these links(although other than a PVR, which we use as the receiver, we only have a DVD recorder which remains turned off most of the time). The frustrating thing is my reception was more or less crystal clear on every channel until the second part of the changeover and now COM5 (ArqA) is dreadful

Hi, me again. Having been through the links (and turned off everthing that might be a problem), I am still having problems. I checked with a nieghbour and they are having the same problems with COM5 so I suppose it must be atmospheric, but it has been more or less useless for weeks now, does that mean we will only be able to watch those channels when the weather permits??

Hi.
My mothers digital set top box is not receiving any channels before number 10 in the list (BBC1&2, ITV1 C4 etc) She is on the outskirts of Eastbourne, her ariel looks ok and her neighbour doesn't have the same issue anymore, but did when first switched over - it resolved itself.
I have reset the box and done multiple channel searches but still no channels 1-10.
Any thoughts at all please!

What a fun thing that's happened Heathfield transmitters signal must have got stronger as film 4, yesterday can be got from it but funny thing is it's sometimes hit and miss even with a booster in the loft and another one in into the tv as with out it would have been awful wonder what I could do to get it better Iknow you have suggested maybe install it on chimney brest.

We are in Trinity Place (very close to the pier) and NO one in our entire block had any TV since early September. It was fixed on 23/10/14 when a filter was installed by a local company. They explained the loss was due to a new 4G mast that had just gone live and was interfering. I'm pretty annoyed that us residents have to pay for a problem caused by phone communications.

Richard Thompson: Actually, you residents seem to have paid for a repair to your aerial system by the local company, as well as a filter. Its perfectly reasonable to to have a filter fitted (although the actual number of people who have had any problems with 4G seem to be very small, and your frequencies are at the low end anyway, so are unlikely to be effected), and this would be done as close to the aerial as possible. Then the signal would be split, (possibly amplified), and sent to each flat.

Its likely that some part of the system had failed (perhaps a loose cable, or possibly the booster's electrical supply), and when they fitted the filter, this was solved at the same time. As I pointed out, your transmission channels are on the low side anyway, so I'm not sure why they bothered.
