Until Oct 24th 2012,Clermont Carn tx powers are restricted to much less than 160kw.
After that date'analogue switch off'SV1=ch52,
SV2=ch56,at full tx power.

Aerialman : I have two sources that contract each other Technical Parameters - ComReg and http://www.rtenl.ie/wp-co….pdf .

I will look into the showing the restrictions when I get the radiation patterns from COMREG.

Funny - I assumed it was Vertical as well... Considered this to be a relay of some sort.

Note to self... slow down on the next daylight run up/down the M1 near the border to see what folks aerials are doing !

Will Technisat HDFV receive RTE channels, and if so when?

Thanks.

Tom: The Technisat should receive the NI mini multiplex (RTE1, RTE2, and TG 4) when it comes on air as this should conform to Freeview standards.

However, as has been reported elsewhere, it appears to have problems with Saorview. TG4, TV3, 3e etc. are apparently fine. RTE1 and RTE2 disappear after a few minutes. It appears to be a software glitch which Technisat refuse to fix since the unit is designed for the UK market.

Brian: Saorview does not transmit BBC1, BBC2 and BBC3 and BBC News. Any chance of you putting the correct Saorview channels on the ROI transmitter section ?

Yes, Clermont Cairn is definitely verrtical polarization and not horizontal.

Peter Henderson: There was an unexpected value in the database that was preventing the SV1 multiplex channels being shown. The BBC graphic is the placeholder that is provided when there is no data.

Can one find out what Clermont Carn tx power is at currently. Just wondering when they ramp up to 160, if it will make all that much different in Skerries area...drops quite a bit at the moment.
