Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Rosneath (Argyll and Bute, Scotland) mast?

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

John Stevenson: You cannot receive Clyde 1 on DAB from the Rosneath transmitter because it doesn't broadcast from the Rosneath transmitter.

I used to pick up all the DAB stations in the rosneath transmitter area
clyde 1 westsound radio scotland etc every station available in the central belt
until the digital switchover wiped all of them out except for the National and BBC
stations abosolute nonsense that clyde 1 and radio scotland are not carried by the DAB
rosneath transmitter i would love to know what muppet made that decision
more than likely the same muppet that decided channel 5 wont be broadcast from rosneath
when it launched back in 97

ok rant over :)

Jim McQuarrie: I doubt you will, and certainly not if your aerials point to Rosneath as it's only broadcast from Black Hill directionally towards Glasgow at 5kW.

I have tv reception issues for around 1 week. An engineer came out today and has told me that the signal from the transmitter was very poor. This was not previously a problem.
Can you please advise why my signal quality has dropped.
My post code is g824hh

Tracey:

Check all your aerial connections. I'm surprise that the 'engineer' didn't check those themselves and suggest a posible resolution.

The transmitter is not reported as having any problems, other peopke would be affected as well if it were. Worth checking if your neighbours have the same problems with Freeview.

MikeP: Which transmitter would that be? There are seven possible transmitters listed for the given postcode.

This page is for the Rosneath (Argyll and Bute, Scotland) DAB transmitter.

If we look at the "Full Freeview on the Rosneath (Argyll and Bute, Scotland) transmitter" page then we find some recent Transmitter engineering posts.

Transmitter engineering: ROSNEATH transmitter - DAB: BBC National DAB Radio Off Air from 08:05 on 12 Dec to 08:23 on 12 Dec. [BBC]

Why we have DAB reports on the Rosneath Freeview transmitter page, and no DAB reports on the Rosneath DAB transmitter page, is a mystery.

Anyway, if we assume Rosneath VP as the transmitter, the Coverage Checker shows there was an unspecified 'Reception change' on Dec 17.

JS:

The poster suggested she uses Roseneath and there are currently no reported problems nor works.

Any engineering work on a transmitter is normally for less than half a day - or even just and hour or so. That there was work several days ago is irrelevant to today's or yesterday's problems.
