I`m curious as to why you`ve got Heathfield (post switchover) down as an E group ? Shouldn`t that be B group ?

Hello Brian.
I note you say Grid aerials are unsuitable for digital but this isn`t the case, they`re perfectly suitable for digital, though it is fair to say that they were originally popular due to their alleged anti-ghost properties. Of course digital pictures don`t exhibit ghosting, but that`s not to say that reducing multi path is necessarily a bad thing even for digital. More details on Grid aerials here :

It was just the comment about Grid aerials I was questioning Brian. Where did that come from ? Remember a Grid aerial isn`t actually low gain, it`s just not really high gain either !

Hello Brian.
I realised when I had a quick look at my past posts that I asked this same question before, sorry I`d forgotten ! I do think you should remove the line unsuitable for Digital though, you do still see a few Grids up and we don`t want people changing them unnecessarily do we ?

Are you saying the`ve released more transmitter patterns but not all of them ? Even if one accepts their arguments why they haven`t (and I don`t, I think it`s a very weak argument compared with freedom of information), I can`t see any reason at all why they can`t release all the relay patterns. After all we`re only talking about TXs up to 50/100W, and most of those on the coast aren`t aimed out to sea anyway. Then there`s any TXs in the north or west of the UK (esp Scotland), how can their transmissions affect any other country ?
On the subject of Oxford, that`s a C/D transmitter, C/D transmissions, being higher frequency, don`t travel as far as A group transmissions. I think any argument about possible co-channel issues should bear that in mind.
