bobpass, I also live in Swadlincote (DE119DP), and suffer the same problems as you. I have just bought a new Sony kdl32ex403u and it picks up all sd freeview stations, but no HD. I also have very good signal, infact great signal on analogue Chanel 5.
Surely I should be getting the HD channels??

Ok, so why dies the digital ok website suggsest otherwise?? Also I'm sure that I have read you say that if you can receive good signal on channel five analogue, you should be able to receive the freeview HD channels??

Yes i see your point. I just assumed that they used the Sutton coldfield name, to include the Lichfield transmitter as well!!
I guess I'll just have to wait until September then!! I was beggining to think my tv was faulty!!!

Hi perhaps I'm being think after bamboozling myself reading this thread, but I still can't work out why I can't receive freeview HD. My postcode is DE119DP, and according to the uk digital website I should be able to receive 4 HD channels. I'm using a Sony KDL32ex403 TV, which I'm 99.99% sure had a freeview HD tuner.
Just for information, after reading the whole of this thread my channel 5 analogue reception is quire good.
