I believe you're being highly speculative.

At Mendip, MUX D (Arqiva B) moves from UHF Ch59 to UHF Ch67 along with a 4.1dB power increase (to 26kW) to compensate for a mode change (from 2k 16QAM 3/4 to 8k 64QAM 2/3).

None of the official info carries any data for Mendip on UHF channel 55, "new MUX8" UHF channel 59 should be labeled 59+ ArqB but
only up to 11th Jan when it all changes.

You're going to leave already puzzled viewers scratching their heads.

Have the transmitters in Northern Ireland not gone through the 8k mode change yet? Is there any information on when this is to happen and i would imagine fundamental if Single frequency networks are to be planned.

As so often with journalism the truth is tucked away at the very end of the story!

"This means that many Sutton Coldfield Freeview users will not have usable service overnight during the testing period."

It shouldn't be that big a concern - So the Wrekin's test may add some noise to a few viewers watching three of Sutton Coldfield's analogue services overnight.

What happens after the 20th April?

"After the PSB multiplexes switch at The Wrekin, the Arqiva multiplexes will remain on their pre-switchover frequencies and powers, and SDN will use a temporary frequency, for a short period before all three multiplexes adopt their final frequencies and powers during September 2011. During this transition period the commercial multiplexes will use the following frequencies: SDN ch49 and ch31 both 2kW), Arqiva A ch53(1kW), Arqiva B ch57 (1kW).

Any word on ITV1 HD being added to the Northern Ireland Sky EPG? This is a pain in the arse talking customers through the 'other chanels' function.

aerialman - This has again highlighted a major problem when the aerial installers are the last to be told what's happening. What do they expect installers to do swan around sites retuning and changing filters and then having to explain this to their technology shy customers.

Long Mountain was regarded as a relay of Blaenplwyf until shortly before switchover of the Long Mountain Tx group when it became an 'Island Site' and was line fed via BT circuitry more than likely via Wenvoe as it's SIPSI transmitter. The regions switched at separate times so program feeds would of had to have been changed months in advance of switchover, of course Mux1 could have been taken off DSAT. Digital UK confirm that Long Mountain was attributed Line Fed and became a parent in it's own right.

"Before switchover, Long Mountain is technically a relay of Blaenplwyf but at switchover, it becomes line-fed"

I'm just curious as to where the two channels Ch52/ Ch22 designated to Londonderry came from? I attended a DTG meeting on proposals for a DVB-T2 mini-mux to broadcast RTE1 & TG4 in NI. There was talk of Ch51 being looked at for an additional COM mux from Londonderry and removing the '7th' mux from Limavady, Ch22 could end up used at Divis if Ch30 was swapped over for the scottish psb mux broadcast from Caldbeck. This would eliminate the use of that channel at Londonderry at any desirable ERP. I realise these things are fluid and forever changing but it is still surprised that an OFCOM DSO plan for NI remains unpublished.

I would be interested to find out were they intend to find these additional frequencies - A spot of fantasy UHF planning comes up with A 3 channel partial SFN using Divis as the reference point and line feeding the other two 23, 26, 29.

Leaving PSB 21, 24, 27 Divis. 43, 46, 50 Carnmoney. 42, 45, 49 BM. That's leaves you two additional channels for the mini-mux channel 41 at BM. Channel 40 at Carnmoney. Divis gets it's 7th mini-mux on channel 48 and that would leave channel 56 for the 8th interleaved channel.
