Dover (Kent, England) Full Freeview transmitter
Tuesday 22 February 2011 6:42PM

Good evening from France,

I live in Godewaersvelde (between Lille and Dunkerque), in the north of France, and I receive the transmitter of Dover.
Usually, I receive very well, four channels: BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and Chanel 4. (C 50, 53, 56 and 66).
But, since 5 or 6 days, the reception became poor.
My antenna functions correctly because I receive always a little the transmitter of Crystal Palace.
Do you notice a fall of power of the transmitter of Dover into analogical ?
Do you have some news about it ?
Thank you for your answer

Thank you very much Briantlist.
In the north of France, we have made the switch off this month with high power.
I'd like to know if some of you receive french channel from:
Boulogne sur Mer (Mont Lambert): 8 Kw
Or Dunkerque (Mont des Cats): 13 Kw
Or Abbeville ? : 80 Kw

I receive sometimes Sudbury transmitter (BBC Digital, BBC1, BBC2, BBC Red Buton, BBC3, CBBC on C 49 with 7Kw).

Hello,

We are Tuesday and I have, always, a very bad quality of reception of the transmitter of Dover (analogue). I do not know what it occurs but, a thing is certain, my material of reception is not in question, indeed, I always receive the transmitter of London (Crystal Palace). Could you say to me to who must I address yourselves so that I can have an explanation? In advance, thank you.

Kind regards

Olivier from France

But Briantlist, I receive the transmitter of Dover since years with a perfect quality!
Why that now has you it changed since ten days ?
The power of emission of 100kw has you it lowered?
Which is the company which deals with the diffusion in England?

Hello Brian,
Thank you for your answer but I have thought about French new digital transmitters and I don't find transmitters which use C50, 53, 56 and 66 in France.
Also I have a rotor like you can see on my website :
My Hertzian TV Installation - Europe-Television.fr : Réception TNT hertzienne et Satellite française et etrangère en Flandres.
You can see my equipment on my video and you'll see the top quality of my english channels reception before :

Hello Brian,

The belgium Mux is from the TOURNAI Transmitter (3,5 Kw), not so far from Lille, for french belgium community with "La Une", "La Deux", "La Trois" and "Euronews".

Since this morning, I receive 4 new Mux digital from Dover (It's the first time for me) :
Mux with Film4 : 55
Mux with BBC : 59
Mux with Five : 60
Mux with Dave : 62
I think the power is 2 Kw

I don't know if it's new or it's because the very good weather conditions but it's stable since this morning.

You can see my video at this link in bottom of the page :

Hello Brian,

Of course you can receive Lille-Bouvigny (80 Kw) in DX-TV I think.
But I Think, it's possible for you to receive some other transmitter from our coast:
Boulogne sur Mer - Mont Lambert : 8 Kw
Abbeville : 80 and 30 Kw

I give you a link from a website friend who has made a Card of the North of France Transmitters with all channels and power:
Emetteur TV du Nord Pas de Calais
