Checking the expected reception at your l;ocation shows that you should be using the Ilfracombe Freeview Light transmitter, see Coverage Checker - Detailed View Reception fropm Kilvey Hill is shown as being very poor.

Please check what multiplex channel numbers you are receiving, Ilfracombe uses 33, 36 and 48. Kilvey Hill uses 21, 24, 27, 25, 22 and 28 but you are unlikely to get much in the way of reliable reception.

As Ilfracombe is a Freeview Light transmitter, you appear to be getting all the correct channels.

It all depends on where you live. If you are able to receive the local services then you should be able to get True Entertainment, If you don't get any local station then you will not get it.

Please read the previous posts where we regular contributors have explained that the services have been moved onto different multiplexes.

He is highly unlikely to get any usable reception in Bowerhill. I am nearer the Mendip transmitter, being in Trowbridge, and I cannot get those services as the radiation pattern is aimed at Bristol area and not into Wiltshire.

John Haslett:

It is likely that current weather/propagation conditions are causing signals from other transmitters to travel further than usual and that causes interference. If you have all the channels (LCNs) present in your list, then you'll need patience until conditions settle down.

Chris.SE:

It shows as poor reception, which is as expected. In fact it is unreliable to the extent that is is virtually unusable.

It would seem that your Sky box has an internal technical problem.

Replacingf it would be a suitable cure.

I would suggest you look at getting a Freeaat box instead. They do not need any subscription nor any kind of 'viewing card'. As it's name implies, Freesat is free to use and there are no charges. Assuming your current Sky box is not a Sky Q type and you have the original LNB fitted to your dish, then a Freesat dish will give a wide range of programmes, see youtube-flat

Terence:

Unlikely, but we don't know what systems they use in South Africa and they may well differ significantly from those in the UK.
