Sony decided to move all their channels onto the local multiplexes last year. To determine whether you might be abkle to get them we need a full post code as the Freeview serviced=s require that before it will show anything useful for you.

Chris.SE, Chas Turner:

Quenington is near Lechlade and Fairford. Therefore there is little possibility of them getting any useful signals from either Hannington or Mendip - they are just far too far away. Oxford may be possible though. Checking the post code for the Village Hall shows that the preferred transmitter is Oxford.

Chris.SE:

You obviously don't know the area very well. I lived in Swindon for some years and have a friend living in Lechlade, so I do know the geography of the area. Reception from Mendip will be vitually impossible because of the height variation and hills between Mendip and the area.

The tone of your remarks is unacceptable.

Chris.SE:

You also need to understand that the reception information given on the Freeview website is based only on estimates. Local knowledge is far more useful and accurate than those estimates. I have local knowledge of that area, as I stated but you ignored. So please stop think you know it all when you demonstrate that you don't.

Margaret Forbes:

It is impossible to tell as there are many other possibilities to consider. We need to start with you giving us your full post code so that we can find out which of the more than 1100 transmitters is the correct one for you. Then we can check if there are any know faults with it.

Only the site owner can uodate those listings and he is overloaded with work at present. You could go to Important changes to Freeview | Freeview and enter your post code.

You cannot connect two different aerials together that way and that will be one cause of your problems. You must use a proper coaxial diplexer.

Alan Francis:

There a number of factors involved in providing regional HD services. One is the availability of HD multiples bandwidth to carry the additional services ad HD uses more bandwisth that SD services. Until the authorities make available the additiona bandwidth needed there will not be any significant increase in rea=gional HD services. Another factor is the cost of providing HD equipment in all the studios. I'm sure there are other factors as well. The end result is that we will bnot be seeing any significant increase in region al HD services as yet.
