My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+

We have two tellys upstairs and have tried to different digi boxers on both of them but cannot get a
signal
. It says
aerial
isn't connected (but it is) and that there are no
channels
detected.
Any ideas??
