(1) Try rebooting the box Jill i.e. turn it off at the mains and turn it back on again a few minutes later.
(2) Try rebooting the remote i.e. take out the batteries and then replace them.
Sometimes either will cure faults like this Occasionally by Sky boxes wil lock up like this and a tevoot will usually cure it.
I've a Humax 9300T terrestrial recorder also and a reboot usually cures the problem. It also locks up from time to time.
Failing that, I'd ring the engineer.

This always works when any of my Sky boxes, or Humax box freeze up.
I think all boxes tend to do this at some stage or other. Sky ones are not immune any more than the Humax ones to this phenomenon

No Charles, not unless you pay Sky £10 per month.
To record Freesat channels for free, you'll need a Freesat PVR.

It's really good news for anyone living in a Freeview Lite area post DSO.
Only really a few channels missing on Freesat that are on Freeview now. Just Dave, Yesterday, and Pck TV and with Sky News being free to air it should be available under non Freesat mode.
With all the extra channels along with far more +1 services, Freesat is beginning to look like more sense !

Why have you left out Northern Ireland in the coverage map Brian ? Apparently, we're plauged far more with the Freeview Lite problem than the rest of the UK.
Also, wasn't part of the problem with ITV Digital the fact that they paid far to much for football rights ? I seem to rememeber that this was the eventual reason for it's demise.
