Can anybody help me. Recently we have lost Radio 4 FM from our local transmitter, Cambret Hill, South West Scotland. Going through all the usual website and phone links gets nowhere. No faults are listed for this transmitter. I just want somebody in BBC engineering to agree there is a problem and let me know when it will be fixed.

Re Cambret Radio 4. I agree with Jim Davdson. The 95.3 FM Radio 4 has not been available from 4th July. Many listeners are complaining, particularly in the Kirkcudbright/Gatehouse/Creetown area, indeed the problem has hit facebook pages. I have made numerous phone calls to BBC. I have tried using website links and emails, I have now raised a complaint through that facility. No one in the BBC takes this seriously. We should have been warned and even had an apology. A sympathetic chap at Dumfries BBC thought there was maintenance work going on. I am now considering driving up to the transmitter to see if I can speak to a real engineer. This is ridiculous.

John McQuistan:
Here's the latest communication from the BBC regarding the recent loss of radio 4 from Cambret.
"Thanks for letting us know with regard to this problem on Radio 4, as you were quite right!
Upon investigation at the Cambret Hill transmitter, the engineer found a loose audio connector, and resolved the issue. Thankfully Radio 4 was back up to normal service on the 19th at 13:30.
Thanks for keeping a vigilant ear.Hope this has helped."
Nice to know my hunch was correct. An broadcast apology would have been appreciated .
Happy Listening
