Saturday 20th August between 8:55pm and 9:15pm interference culminating in all channels dropped and no signal. Signal returned and all channels viewed by 9:30pm.

Could not find any information on there having been problems on the Dover transmitter last night.

Does the company running this have any comments?

Transmitter engineering: There is no reception from the West Burton transmitter as the Bilsdale transmitter had a fire. Why do you say there are no problems. I live in Bishopdale and we have had no reception from freeview since Tuesday 10th August. Freeview are saying "This plan should reinstate TV coverage for the vast majority of viewers who receive signals directly from Bilsdale. Due to the work required to deliver this solution we expect that work should be completed by 28th August."

Vast majority does not mean all and I bet that means those of us who rely on the West Burton transmitter will not have our service back by the 28th August because we are a small percentage. Normal service only gives access to BBC, ITV, C4 and C5 and NO HD and NO DAB, so we certainly are not a priority. Rural communities bottom of the pile - what about levelling up?

Chris SE has completely missed the point when I said "Normal service only gives access to BBC, ITV, C4 and C5 and NO HD and NO DAB, so we certainly are not a priority. Rural communities bottom of the pile - what about levelling up?" I was pointing out that we get a mediocre service normally so I didn't see that we would be a priority for a return of this service by the 28th August. I have been in communication with arqiva and I know exactly what is goiing on, but how about an investment so that we get the same service as everyone else when services are returned to normal - we are bottom of the pile.

re StevensOnln 1 comment. I purchased 3 new Samsung smart TVs late 2018 and two Humax freeview players at the same time. A brand new aerial installed last year. If he uses the West Burton transmitter and does get HD then maybe I have been sold old warehouse stock that means the tvs do not have the DVB-T2 tuner as although I see an option for HD they don't work. I will check further.

I would be content with just using wifi and the hubs, but BBC iplayer does not work properly for steaming live TV. Everytime I try to use it for watching BBC news live it jumps back to a programme that was aired 2 hours previously. BBC will not accept responsibility for this even though I have no problem watching live tv news on ITV's hub. I have FTTH (FTTP) and download speeds in excess of 30mbs. Didn't check the tuners on my tvs when I purchased so probably got caught with old stock.

Fiona Summers-Smith: I take back my original comment re being at the bottom of the pile, so delighted we have our service back and I have written to arqiva and thanked them, I think to have got the service back so soon is great work.
