Sorry posted this in error on the Whitehawk Hill section.

Re Rowridge COM 5 CH 22 Horz has been either on low / no power for many days, yet vertical polarisation strengh in Worthing has been 100%
I have both H and V aerials installed so I can switch between the two during times of co-channel interference.
As there's no engineering reports of problems has anyone got any ideas.
Many thanks John.

Chris.SE:
Sorry Chris only just picked up your reply
I will try the Freeview number as COM 5 CH 22 H seems to have been switched off as its still dead as of today Feb 3rd.
Not a problem for me at the moment as no co-channel interference, but with High pressure building my Sky News reception will be hit on the V aerial.

Chris.SE:
Hi Steve
A couple of things. First there seems to be a problem with the Email me updates' service on this site as the first I've known of your messages to me is when I login like now.
As for Freeview, I called them and waiting for a promised call back when they didn't have an answer to hand, I texted them when the return call didn't arrive, but still waiting for a reply even to that.
So, as there's still no signal on COM 5 H (COM 6 H is ok) and both are the same 50kW, and I now have an e-mail address for Arqiva technical. I will drop them a line this weekend.
I'm not giving up
John.

Sorry Chris for keep calling you Steve, he's a colleague who I've also been chatting to about this.
The good news is COM 5 H is now back up, albeit varying between 40 and 60% strength. At least I've now got an alternative for Sky news and LBC should co-channel be a problem.
Yes I do get regular site update e-mails, it was just that I though by ticking the Email me updates' box a reply would lead me directly to your answer and not a scroll through the Rowridge section but hey it's not a problem.
Many thanks'
John.

Hi Chris
Apparently this is the contact for all modes of transmission and reception (TV, Radio, Phone etc) provided by Arqiva.
telecoms.feedback@arqiva.com
Good luck
John.

Although a different Ch No and freq COM 5 H on Rowridge has been dead until a few days ago and now back on v low power. Guess that's no help to you but might be an indication of work being done to COM 5 generally.
Rgds
John.

Re: DAB
For about a week now the following stations have been on very low power in the BN11 area. As no faults are reported on any of the local transmitters and transmitters in Hampshire are fine on other stations-any ideas?
1 BTN, Solar Radio, Starpoint, Mi-house, Mi-Soul, Platform B, and Totally Radio.
Many thanks

Many thanks for the info Chris
Yes you are correct those stations and more are also missing surely must be loads of people complaining to Ofcom?
Sussex Heights I know well it's a Tower Block by the Pier so surprised I've been getting a 60% on the bar strength here in Worthing a years or so ago it was only 20%.
Just out of interest how do I see the list of stations transmitted I thought I just clicked the Tx symbol on the map but nothing happens
All the best
John.

Hi Chris
Good news. I've been in contact with a relative who lives just off Hove seafront and in sight of Sussex Heights. He reports all of those stations can be received, but with week signal strength.
So good news Ofcom haven't closed them down, but why on low power for so long.
Regards
John.

Yes this is all very good but a slap in the face to the most vulnerable in our society who are now receiving notices informing that they will have to start paying the TV licence again from June.
Yes there is an exception for those who claim certain state benefits, but as usual in similar cases, many for various reasons fail to claim them.
During this exceptional time a caring government would reverse the refusal to compensate the BBC for the loss of revenue and ensure no-one would have to decide either to keep warm or loose a vital well-being stimulant during this period of self isolation.
