C45 (666.0MHz) after switchover
Monday 5 December 2011 10:46AM

Hello - I wonder if you have any ideas on my recent problem which is that all programs I can get on ARQA channel now have broken or interrupted sound ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF about every one second - picture is OK.

The channels appear to be only those on ARQA / COM5. I'm in south Birmingham and only receive Sutton Coldfield. I had a a new digital aerial earlier this year and have no pre-amp fitted. Signal strength is good.

Reception was good after Sept c/o until recently. I have retuned channels again and this has made no difference.

Really to replace Dave Ja Vu on Freeview
Tuesday 17 January 2012 2:00PM

Janet, unfortunately this is sad reality of modern technology and demands (apparently); always pushing the limits of what can be got away-with.

Mike has given a good answer with the options available to you to make sure they are not listed with your normal channels.

Of course whenever your box/tv has a re-scan for changed or new channels you may have to go through the same procedure to check the unwanted channels do not appear. As Mike says, check the manual, or get help if it's not clear how to clear channels or set up and lock a customised list.

Freeview 2024?
Wednesday 15 August 2018 5:30PM

Sad, but many people are happy with No Internet or just ADSL for what they want to see. Some, amazingly, don't watch films, but would in preference just want -"truth"- as it happens, the odd current docu and perhaps a bit of sport commentary after-the-fact. The whole multi-streaming bit is an expense and unnecessary outgoing cost just to be able to pay even extra on top for premium services. They are happy with the slow lane and 'old' tech. They have 'FM' radio (and I have heard that some still use AM).
Many do not have the choice through financial resource or even 'interest' to keep up with latest Tech.
Now, take my wife...

Oh... not yet; she's just enjoying a DVD off Ebay. Bless.
