Sorry about that I put the post code in the wrong box . My postcode is AB31 4RL and I am on a hillside facing the durris mast which I can see approx 15 miles away , so my aerial is almost line of sight .

Thank you for this information. Whilst looking at previous posts on this website I found a clue to where to look for technical information on local TV and found the radiation pattern for the Durris local STV signal . Thank you and Mike . As I don't have sky or virgin I shall just have to forgo STV2 unless they decide to change the propagation direction .

I am unable to receive STV2 on channel 30 from the durris mast. The reception of all the other Freeview channels is a perfect 10 . The aerial (a log periodic )is outside approx 20ft up on a pole . This channel is classed as local and I am assuming that this means that the signal is only focused towards Aberdeen and not to the rest of Aberdeenshire. I am unable to find any technical data on this local service. Any help would be appreciated . Thanks.
