P. Kieran Ward : have to say the lack of information about this is shocking! From what I can gather yes that's the case with com7,8. Apparently RTE will be broadcasting in the 40s somewhere come March. Which means every Freeview/RTE rig is going to have to be totally changed as far as I can see.
I'm struggling if that's the case how you can boost the RTE without overloading Freeview in the 30s area of the band.

PeterH: yes they are there. Was a diplexer fitted as I fitted a Freeview, RTE rig yesterday now having to use an inductive splitter for Divis and Claremont. Another issue now is channel 60 is right beside 4G and I have had a number of people reporting breakup.

To be honest this is a cluster.

PeterH: yes they are there. Was a diplexer fitted as I fitted a Freeview, RTE rig yesterday now having to use an inductive splitter for Divis and Claremont, diplexers are no longer any use now. Another issue now is channel 60 is right beside 4G and I have had a number of people reporting breakup, which will require a filter which is unlikely to solve as they are so close.

To be honest this is a cluster.

PeterH: the thing is, Divis is now totally wideband so fitting a diplexer will cut off channels on the Divis side so pointless. To future proof I would say,
Two wideband aerials, a wideband mast amp for rte if required then into an inductive splitter/combiner However a WB mast amp will boost everything so an attenuater may be needed on the Divis side.
A 4g filter maybe required as well (mast amp should be filtered).
That's what I have came up with to cover all changes.

Ian.JH: Lilley to be one of two things, if you have rte the diplxer box will cause it. If not your Freeview aerial now needs to be wideband. Or could be both.

PeterH: I would suspect it's 4g interfering now because of their position. Now hearing reports of people losing RTE 52 and 56 for some reason. Absolutely no information coming from there at all. My job is becoming guesswork with this mess.

Chris.SE: Yea was on the site zero info. They are still at 52, 56 and 42, 45 but people telling me they have lost 52, 56. Strange as they didn't move after the retune.
