I and my neighbours cannot receive block of channels 33 40 and 43. We are using belmont transmitter. Channels 25 35 53 and 60 are 100%. I am in Bridlington East Yorkshire

I think it's quite unreasonable to pay an extortionate price for a TV licence when I have to rely on a very poor signal from a transmitter 60 miles away. If I have freesat then all my recording equipment will be useless. We should have a reasonable signal provided.

My only problem with freesat which I tried to have installed, is a great big tree in the neighbours garden which the aerial fitter says is in the direct line with the satalite. Seems I can't win.

Hi Elaine. Just a thought, but do you have any large trees in the sight of your aerial because this can cause problems with signal. I have this issue with my neighbours tree and I can't even have a freesat dish fitted.

My mother had the same issue with her TV so I lent her a small portable freeview TV which worked perfect. It turned out that she had a faulty tuner on her tv

This is getting ridiculous now with the TV reception. A month my TV has been barely watchable due to poor signal. My location YO164AL is on the edge of the boundary for signal and I begrudge paying for a TV licence for a poor service. Are they ever going to sort this transmitter out?

Are they ever going to sort Belmont Transmitter? Nearly every week there is maintenance causing unwatchable tv. I can't record programs because I get failed recording and I have upgraded my TV aerial, new cable and a mast booster with a 5G filter.
I contacted the BBC Reception Advice who agreed that my area is poor reception and I should get Freesat. I ordered Freesat and he couldn't install it because of trees.
What do I pay a TV licence for?
