Freeview Light National service.
Will there be more services on Freeview Light? Yes.

Some more channels have been added over the years,
when space is made by old channels closing down
or new technology using less bandwidth with the DVB-T2 system.

Film 4 on channel 15 (Added in August 2013)
Film 4 +1 (SD, if you have a DVB-T2 HD receiver) on channel 45 (Added in November 2014)
ITV 4 on channel 24 (Added in August 2015)
Freeview information page * on channel 100 (Started on December 2015)
* This is not a proper TV channel, just a caption with Freeview information.

Some more channels may be added when BBC 3 SD, BBC 3 HD and the Red Button channels close down next year.
This will depend on what the BBC do after the channels close.

Can you please replace the end of the title
from " - almost everywhere"
with " - on 8 percent of the UK transmitters".

I'm hoping that they will replace BBC3 and BBC3 HD with some new channels, but there are rumours that it will be BBC1 +1.

BBC Three
Monday 8 February 2016 9:43AM

BBC 3 (SD & HD) will cease transmissions on Freeview, Freesat, Sky etc. on Tuesday 16/02/2016.
Promotional information pointing viewers to the on-line version will be displayed for a few weeks after this date until the BBC3 EPG number (Electronic Programmer Guide) is removed.

This channel (SD version) was first transmitted on 9/02/2003.

An Internet version will be available for some users with a fast Internet connection.

After retuning my Freesat HD box, I now have Channel 5 HD (On EPG 105)
but no Channel 5 SD.
I can tune it in manually, but no program list as it no longer has an Electronic Programs Guide.
Although I have a good satellite signal, viewers with a doggy signal or snow on the LNB may find it useful to have both.
I would imagine that they may get a better picture with standard definition as the data is smaller.

I see that they have also closed down the BBC Red button 2 and Red button 3 channels from Freeview.
There has never been any programs on Red button 0, 2 and 3 since they started.
Red button 0 now has sone programs starting from 7pm on Wednesday. 3/08/2016

Has Red button 2 and 3 moved to a Com multiplex.
I only have PSB1, PSB2 and PSB3, so can't check this.

Thanks for the quick reply.
We don't have Com 8, but have FreeSat/Sky,
so I'll see if they add them on satellite.

Re: jb38
Why a quad LNB and not a dual LNB?
One signal to watch live TV and the second one to record from at the same time.
If you share your dish with your neighbours, then use a quid one.
