ITV 4 +1

Strange but true.
Sky have moved some of its channels today. (1/02/2011)
MTV has moved to the entertainment section from the music section.
(I guess they don't play much music on the Music TV channel now)
So if you pay for the entertainment package but not the music package you can now view this channel.
MTV +1 has also moved to the entertainment section but is still encrypted for the Music package!
Strange.

Sorry this is posted in the wrong section. No MTV page found for this subscription channel on 'uk FREE tv' web site.

Bally python:

Captain Janeway (Star Trek Voyager) is now on Sky Atlantic for just one or two hundred pounds a year.
Star Trek Enterprise, Star Trek The Next Generation and Star Trek DS9 have gone to boldly go where no man can find them.
And Sky are not like the Ferengi. I like the Ferengi.

Sky3 to be renamed as Pick TV

Alan:
Pick Sky TV would be a good name as they want you to pick Sky TV.
They could call it 'This is the only Sky Free Channel' but that's too long for the EPG.

I think they have dropped the word Sky from the name to make people think that not all the channels on Sky are owned by Sky.

It's like going in to Currys, Dixons, PC World or Comet. Same shop owned by they same company, but different names.

Jeff Eastmond. Done some research now.
Currys, Dixons, Dixons Digital, PC World, Electro World, Pixmania, Equanet and Advent Computers.
So it wasn't four chains but it's still more than one.
If someone gets a Advent Computer because they don't like Packard Bell (PC World) they are still buying from the same group.

I believe all main transmitters aerials are horizontal polarization and relays are vertical polarization.
Long Mountain is still listed as a vertical polarization.
If they switched polarization then everyone would have to adjust their aerial to get a proper signal.

Bloke.
Yes.
You can also view all the other BBC regions.
To view other ITV1 regions you need to scan for the different channels manually.
ITV1+1 only has some regions, so your local news on ITV1+1 may be different from ITV1.

BBC regions and nations - some notes
Sunday 13 February 2011 11:31AM

Good read, never knew about BBC Southampton being the backup to BBC London.
Are you going to add a "ITV and Channel4/S4C regions and nations" page?
If you do, you may want to include the satellite service frequencies etc or a link to http://www.lyngsat.com
as only the local ITV region and ITV London are listed in the EPG. (RH163LB)

Meridian TV area - switchover dates announced | Switchovers

As usual on Meridian Tonight, they said that you don't need a new aerial.
That is only true if you have a perfect picture.
I still see portable TV for sale with a small aerial attached to the TV. This is OK for a snowy picture on analogue but not always for digital.

No it's not a parking sign but will be parked on the screen next to the channel DOG.
I hope the two dogs will not get too friendly as we will end up with baby dogs all over the screen.
