Briantist:
A quick look at your post on 22/07/2011 at 8:16am.
Looks like very few places will get anything more than the BBC multiplex
and big towns like Eastbourne, Worthing and Selsey near Bognor Regis won't get any stations.
Just hope they don't close FM analogue before everybody can get digital.

nicky freeling:
Go to Teletext page 284 on BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4.
If the page displays properly, your aerial should be OK to receive digital TV.
If not there is always the option to go Freesat.

Ash:
I was just going by the maps above.
But thinking about it, all the places I have mentioned are in direct line of Brighton over the sea.
Unless there are any mountines made of sea water I can't see why they won't get a siginal from Brighton.

James Powell:

You will need to point your dish at a satellite that is transmitting the French or German stations.
You will only be able to view the stations that are NOT encrypted.
See LyngSat for list of channels, frequencies, if they are encrypted and which satellite transmits them.
You must also be in the satellite footprint.
See Astra 2 Mobile Satellite TV Footprint Map | Conrad Anderson UK (RH163LB)
