Hi,
Since Dave moved on Freeview a few weeks ago, and then today following the HD channels shift to the 100s, my Sony KDL 32EX723 tv's EPG is missing these channels.
I can watch the channels normally, the tv "knows" where they are/ their new channel nos, they're just missing from the EPG.
I thought it might fix itself over time, but Dave hasn't re-appeared in the EPG as Ch12 and that moved a few weeks ago now.
Any suggestions to get the EPG working fully again?

Hi,
I live in Allestree, Derby (DE24 2RL) with a direct line of sight to the Derby relay transmitter in Littleover, so I can get East Midlands BBC.
My aerial also picks up other channels which I guess must be coming from Sutton Coldfield, including West Midlands BBC.
Over the last week or so, my BBC2 HD seems to vanish on the dot at 6pm. Does "something happen" at that time that might cause me to lose it. BBC1 HD is fine.
I sometimes have similar evening problems with some of the ITV channels, but that's been going on for a while and doesn't bother me so much.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi,
I live in Allestree, Derby (DE22 2RL) and, while I receive most of my freeview from Sutton Coldfield, I get East Midlands channels (BBC1, ITV1) from the Derby transmitter (which is a direct line of sight of my rooftop aerial).
However, every evening (I'd say sometime between 5 and 6pm) my ITV1 and other ITV channels disappear. This has been the case for several years, maybe since the last freeview switching. It's never been a problem, I don't watch that much tv and when I need ITV1 I can get it via HD or by switching to the West Midlands ITV channels, which my tv puts in the 800 freeview range.
However, what has perplexed me this last couple of weeks is that the same fate befalls the extra BBC Red Button Wimbledon channels, 602-606. They are there during daytime, but, like ITV, they disappear after 5-6pm. The standard Red Button 601 channel is still accessible at all times.
I've contacted freeview.co.uk but they can't offer any explanation. I wondered if the experts on here could offer any explanation as to what happens in the early evening to scupper a handful of freeview channels?

My mum lives in Littleover, Derby, very close to the Derby relay transmitter and a the top of a slope. To the north and at the bottom of her garden are three small-leaved birch trees, about as tall as a house. Beyond these and going north down the slope are two bungalows. Since switchover, the occupants of these two bungalows say they have worse freeview reception than they had before, and are blaming my mother's trees for interference, to such an extent that she's contacted a tree surgeon to thin the trees.
But I'm not sure the trees are the cause at all. Surely if they had good freeview before switchover they should have it now, with much higher power? My mum did say at least one of the bungalows uses a signal amplifier, which again rang alarm bells with what I've read on these pages. But she also said the same bungalow had had an aerial engineer in to look at their set up, so surely he would have tried taking out the amplifier... wouldn't he?
I realise the properties being bungalows and down a north facing slope will have inherent problems getting good signals from both the Waltham amd Sutton Coldfield transmitters to the south (I don't know to which their aerials are directed) but could the trees actually be the cause of the problem?
