Thanks, Briantist, I found that just after I posted last night. Next week's Borgen in HD then!

When you say 'down' do you mean there was no BBC television, which would seem unlikely, or do you mean the signal strength is down, which could be due to weather conditions?

Should we not be using any available capacity to increase the bitrates for main BBC stations to hi-fi quality? Stuff like this should be on the internet IMO!

I assume the existing Six O'clock News will remain on BBC News Channel, so effectively viewers in Scotland will be given the choice. I can live with that.

What signal strength are you getting according to your TV or decoder box? I know these readings are not accurate, but it might give some idea. Do you have a roof aerial that is extra-large? I got a Group B aerial as I thought this would be optimised for the transmitter at Blackhill. However, this may change in the future if Ofcom change the frequencies.

I think I have misunderstood this. I thought the move was down the spectrum, to lower frequencies. However, my transmitter (Blackhill) seems to be creeping up the way. I see the highest channel will be 56 and a Group B aerial ends at 53 (hence the recommended Group E aerial I assume). I get pretty good signal strength at the moment. Is it likely that my existing aerial will continue to be okay? I generally only watch HD but I can't work out which numbered multiplex(es) are HD.

Any ideas what will happen to the BBC channels presently on Com7

Will this mean a reduction in the HD bitrate to fit them in?

Why is a wideband aerial recommended? If the top part of the band is to be used for 5G would you not then be left with an aerial that is designed to pick up unwanted signals? I would have thought an aerial optimised for the lower channels would be better (provided 55 and 56 are still tolerable).

Any details of what will happen if com7 and com8 are removed? Does this mean BBC Four HD and BBC News HD will be lost or can they be added to another multiplex?
