I have added into the system some enhancements to the maps to make DAB radio, Local Freeview TV and ITV regions easier to understand. I have also made a slight correction to the ITV regions.

Again, thank you for your feedback.

The first change I have made is to show some of the planned DAB transmitters (with a plus symbol) on the DAB transmitter map pages, for example Map of all DAB transmitters - in Norfolk, England shows the six seven planned BBC transmitters in Norfolk:

I have added a "coloured overview" map to the Local television on Freeview map page. You can now clearly see all the projected coverage areas for the new "Local TV multiplexes":

On the ITV map pages - see ITV, UTV and STV regions - overview map, I have made a few changes.

I have received confirmation from Ofcom that the Midhurst transmitter group is in the ITV Meridian "West" area for news. This is not the same as ITV Sales show for the adverts for the region.

I have also, for the purpose of mapping called the news area to the north, "ITV Meridian/Central (Thames Valley micro region)", even though ITV Sales still offer to sell advertisements to the Central South (Oxford, Ridge Hill and relays) region as a whole.

For this to work, I have merged Ridge Hill into Central West.

I have also split the "Border TV" region into two, as Ofcom have agreed with ITV to provide a special service for viewers in the Scottish area.

When can I expect to receive all available channels on my local transmitter. We cant even get ITV4, total of 20 so far with Channel4 taking up 4 of those plus a couple of ITV +1 etc. Also BBC local radio is missing. Marlborough west relay is my local mast.

Trevor Dobie:

Most of the full Freeview line up of channels is available to 98% of the population via Freesat.

You don't need to pay a subscription to Sky, you can just buy a box and get the dish installed.

Upcoming DAB transmitters are a very welcome feature. However, limiting the maps to counties is a bit restrictive since many people use transmitters that are "just over the boundary". Is it possible for county maps to be centred on the middle of the county but include transmitters in neighbouring areas?

When FM goes for good... will DAB be increasing the transmission power?

rob: The DAB coverage is being extended by adding in lots of filler transmitters, not by increasing the power of the existing ones.

This is necessary because DAB, unlike FM is a single frequency network.
