When DSO was completed, we were told that transmissions (from Emley Moor) would be much more powerful.

Why then is my Freeview reception far worse now than ever before - many daytime programs are unwatchable!

Is the promised increase in power being fulfilled?

Dee G - you may find expat sites more informend than here.

David W - it may be that the signals are too STRONG. Try removing any amplification, or adding an attenuator.

Have you asked the neighbours?

Palmer: MuxBBCA changed frequency to C50 and ArqA to C49, so receivers still tuned to the old frequencies will have lost reception of standard def BBC channels and Sky News etc.You will need to re-tune to the new frequencies to restore reception of these channels. If your tuner does not automatically replace the channel list as it scans you will need to delete the old information first, either by using a channel delete facility if available, or by doing a factory re-set, after which re-tuning should store all channels on the correct frequencies. If there is a problem with channels from Yorkshire or Wales being stored instead of the required Winter Hill channels, it will be necessary to do a manual tune on each of the Winter Hill frequencies after first clearing the channel list.

Skipton.
If you cannot get reception from Winter Hill, then you are stuck with the repeater transmitter at East Marton, meaning that you only get a handful of channels, most of which are rubbish of course.
I am fed up with unplugging, re-plugging, re-tuning, while the BBC are doing their re-engineering work. Why should I pay for my bandwidth to be robbed in order to facilitate 4G which I do not need nor will ever use.

Mr annoyed with Skipton TV reception and the BBC.

My automatic tuning gives me BBC Wales. What are the frequencies that I need for a manual tune to Winter Hill?
