Pete I know little about Sky but I watch free to air channels & notice that all the channels you can receive are vertically polarised and all that you can't are horizontaly polarised so maybe you have a faulty LNB which is not switching polarity as it should. Try waiting till someone who knows more about Sky can confirm the meaning of "36" but other than that replace the LNB. You may need to measure the diameter of the collar that fits round the LNB to make sure you get the right size but you can get them on fleabay for less than a fiver. Neil

pete: Judging by what you have reported would suggest that what Neil has said "is" the most likely reason for your problem, although if at all possible I would advise you to either try checking your box on someone else's dish or alternatively their box on yours, as although your LNB could well be faulty by not responding the increased voltage sent to the LNB from the box which is necessary to receive horizontal transmissions, it could likewise be the box that is not sending the increase in the first place, and so its really best policy to determine which applies.

If by any chance you have a simple voltmeter kicking around capable of measuring up to 20 volts DC then you could test the box for yourself, this done by removing the "F" coax connector and measuring the voltage across the socket whilst on ITV, it should read around 12/14V, if you then select BBC and it should increase to around 18 volts or so.

Hello I have fairly new LG plasma tv. Channel 53 cuts out every few seconds and says 'no signal'. Please, is there anything I can do? We got the tv last year but it has only just started doing this the last couple of weeks. Thanks.

Fault Report - Fleet Hampshire
Since 1930 last night our signal quality from the London Transmitter has been very poor, with the picture breaking up. It's no better this morning, with the signal quality ranging from 10 down to 0 and unwatchable.

roz: It's on Sky Sports 1, presumably you need to subscribe to the Sports package to get it.

Hi there Michael
Thanks for getting back to me.

I'm looking for Spanish coverage of La Liga as opposed to English coverage which as you say is on Sky 1.

I have all the Sky Sports channels, it's that i find the coverage of La Liga here in the U.K is pretty minimal. I figure that actual spanish coverage will be a lot more indepth.

Any ideas about the Real Madrid channel?

Thanks again

After moaning about CH39 poor quality (2/03/13)it suddenly, Friday 8 March, zoomed to 100% quality the signal strength is still around 50-60% but causes no problems. Nothing has changed at my end so has Sutton Coldfield implemented an upgrade to CH39 hardware?

JL - dunno, but if you are marginal you may get such changes due to weather, rain, sunspots; allsorts!

roz - I suggest you find a website for UK basedd Spanish soccer fans, who will know all this. You can probably get Spanish satellite TV in the South of Britan, but maybe not in North Britain.
