Cheers for your help on a Sunday night Dave. I think you're right.

Digital UK says 'COM mux FEC change' in 2 days. I'm hoping all their playing around is going to correct things to how it was working last week.

Last few days getting bad signal from sudbury to Felixstowe, early and late in day.
It is worst in fog before sun is up.

Is this the cause?, and is this what we will will get every time there's the same weather?

Anyone else getting same?

We also are in the Felixstowe area and have lost all channels on the ARQA MUX in the last few days, but those from ARQB are Ok. I found your website today and noted the very low power ourput for these two MUXs. Just carried out a the Freeview reset procedure as recommended on my BT Vision box but still no channels on ARQA.
Has anybody else experienced the same problem in this area? Any ideas on how to get these channels or do we just have to wait until next year, on the assumption that these MUX powers will be increased!

Alistair / John: The COM mux FEC change in simple terms is a change to how the data is transmitted which increases the capacity of the respective muxes (the extra capacity could be used for an additional channel). It will not solve the issues that you are having.

After the July changes I had brilliant reception from Sudbury on all Freeview Channels. Was also able to recive the HD ones. From Nov 16th, have less channels than at any other time. ITV4, Yesterday, Dave etc gone or intermittent. Carried out clear out and retune to no good effect on all my digital receivers, pretty much same result on all of them. Reps from Digital UK on local TV and Radio are being told about this problem and they are just telling people to retune. Very annoying!!

Another fine mess then this makes me glad that I have shelled out for a satellite box, trying to watch something on ITV 4 tonight (and Film 4 yesterday) neither working. Before 16/11/11 fabulous reception , still before July we couldn't even watch ITV1/CH4 most days. Hey ho, long live Humax
