David: Basically its a case of connecting a scart lead between your Virgin boxes VCR scart socket to the scart input on the modulator, then you connect the co-ax that feeds the other TV's into the modulators RF output socket.

If you also use a normal aerial then connect it into the appropriate socket on the modulator, finally, in conjunction with consulting the user manual, set the DIP switches to give the same channel as you were previously using with the Sky box, or set it to Ch68 and re-scan the other "analogue" TV's to pick it up.

A note of caution though, in the past a number of these modulators developed a fault that caused screeching (of varying intensities) to be heard on the audio, if you even remotely detect this take it back to Maplins.

Also remember that switches 7 & 8 are normally off, although 8 is a visual test signal when switched down.

Hi,
We have Sky+HD in the living room with an eye connection to our tv in the bedroom. The eye works fine and we can watch Sky upstairs. The problem is the interference, screen flickers horizontall or blanks out. Can you make a suggestion as to how we can resolve this as it is almost unwatchable. Can it be other equipment interfering with the signal or the eye.
Many thanks

andy: No, you can move cards between boxes of any type. Only Sky Sports requires the card and box are matched together.

Hi Brian,

I'm working with UKTV and thought I'd send over some details of a new series on Yesterday to potentially include on the UKFree.tv

It's called 'Find my Past', a new genealogy series that will see ordinary members of the public discover that they are related to someone involved in a major historical event, the 10 part series begins tonight at 9pm on the UKs leading factual channel Yesterday. A trailer for the series can be seen at
Find My Past: Dunkirk
- YouTube
and during each episode, Find My Past experts will also be on hand providing further insights into the episode and tips on researching family history at Twitter

I have a TV combi DVD/VCR and sky. But unlike the previous answer my sky only has 1 scart lead. I really dont understand, having been trying for weeks, I am a widow in my sixties so not to up on all the jargon but I try. I have set it up but when I just put a DVD in it made a terrible noise, I have been looking for a diagram.
